Life size monopoly launches!

July 27th, 2011

On 24 September the streets of Shrewsbury will play host to a game of Monopoly with a difference. The world’s favourite board game will be played out on a life size scale through the streets of the town in aid of Hope House.

Life size monopoly is officially launched!

Teams of six are being sought for the challenge, which will see one member of each team rolling the dice and moving the counter, with the remaining team members spread out along the town centre route to act as the monopoly pieces moving round the lifesize board.

We’re organising the game as part of Hope House’s corporate challenge – where local companies raise as much as possible using only £50. After the game there will be a party for all participants.

Gavin Mills, managing director of Clear said: “We wanted to find a different way to fundraise for Hope House, and hope this game proves the ideal opportunity to have a great team day out and raise money for Hope House at the same time.”

Each team of six costs £400 to enter, with all money going to Hope House and an after party for all teams. For more information register online or contact us on 01743 344 911.

New office launch for Clear
Mayor of Shrewsbury Tony Durnell officially opens our new offices

Our new offices on 5 Town Walls in Shrewsbury were officially launched on Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Mayor of Shrewsbury and a party for our clients and supporters.

With a tour of our new offices, a rather fabulous tweet wall for all those who couldn’t make the party and a look at our latest work our guests got a real taste of Clear. It was great to see so many people here (despite the torrential rain) and to be able to show off our new premises.

Thanks for coming everyone!

Clear gets grilled!

May 12th, 2011

Today we played host to three judges from the Shropshire Business Awards, as we’ve been shortlisted in the Managing Change category.

This is hugely exciting for us, as our shortlisting in an extremely competitive category is the icing on the cake for a great year of change, which has seen us expand our offer to include marketing, move to swish new offices on Town Walls in Shrewsbury and appoint a Managing Director. We’re even more pleased that not only have we made the shortlist of four businesses but that we’re in excellent company as one of our clients, Cooking Marvellous, has also been shortlisted.

We’ll hear the results at the award ceremony on 3 June, so fingers crossed and wish us luck!

Our direction is Clear

April 15th, 2011

We’ve appointed a Managing Director to support our growth strategy. Gavin Mills has become Managing Director of Clear, having stepped up from his role as Technical Director. In his new role Gavin has already overseen the acquisition and renovation of new office space, and will now implement our ambitious growth strategy.

Gavin said: “The creation of this new role reflects the growth Clear has already undergone and continues to take, ensuring we grow in a strategic and sustainable way. By creating one central point of responsibility and accountability for growth and the business our senior team is freed up to concentrate on what they do best, delivering outstanding work for our clients. Having co-founded the company ten years ago, I am delighted we are not just still going strong but are taking such large steps forward to develop and grow as a company.”

Gavin co-founded Clear with Creative Director Glyn Davies in 2001, after the two colleagues saw an opportunity for design and technical services to be offered under one roof. Since then the company has grown to an 11-strong team completing work for national clients including Nike and BT, and local clients such as Pockets and Cooking Marvellous.

We’re on the move…

March 24th, 2011

new-chairWe’ve moved to a bigger office to accommodate our growing team. We’ve not gone far though – from Monday 28 March our new address is 5 Town Walls, Shrewsbury, SY1 1TW.

Our new offices have been converted especially for us, so we now have more meeting space on the ground floor (and a roof terrace for meetings when the sun is shining). We’re sure to invite you round to take a look at the new offices, and in the meantime, here’s a peek at our new office chairs….
